Industry Standards and Standards Organizations

EMVco

EMVCo's primary role is to manage, maintain and enhance the EMV Integrated Circuit Card Specifications with the objective of ensuring interoperability and acceptance of payment system integrated circuit cards on a worldwide basis. EMVCo is also responsible for type approvals of payment terminal equipment. EMV® is a global standard for credit and debit payment cards based on chip card technology.

ETA – (Electronic Transaction Association)

ETA is the international trade association serving the needs of organizations offering transaction processing products and services.

Financial Services Information and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC)

FS-ISAC, or the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center, is the global financial industry's go to resource for cyber and physical threat intelligence analysis and sharing. FS-ISAC is unique in that it was created by and for members and operates as a member-owned non profit entity.

GlobalPlatform

GlobalPlatform is an industry association that focuses on smart card infrastructure development. Its’ proven technical specifications for cards, devices and systems known as the standard for smart card infrastructure. GlobalPlatform has over 50 cross-industry members with representation from around the world. Thales has specifically contributed to the Global Platform Key Management System (KMS) specification.

HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society)

HIMSS a business unit within HIMSS, positively transforms health and healthcare through the best use of information technology.

Hong Kong PKI Forum

Founded in 2002, Hong Kong Public Key Infrastructure Forum Limited (“HKPKIF”) is a non-profit distributing industry organization established under the Companies Ordinance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China (“HKSAR”). The objective of the association is to enhance public and industry awareness of the importance of public key infrastructure (“PKI”) products and services in addressing the issues of authenticity, integrity, confidentiality and non-repudiation in electronic-based communications as well as resolving issues regarding security of open network, PKI interoperability and ease of use.
