Thales looks to extend SafeNet Trusted Access beyond FIDO with a touch of PKI - Analyst Report

Prior to its acquisition by Thales, Gemalto (via its $890m purchase of SafeNet in 2014) was a pioneer in cloud-based authentication, thanks in part to its 2012 acquisition of Cryptocard. The latter formed the basis for its SafeNet Authentication Service (SAS) offering, which was followed up in 2017 by the introduction of the SafeNet Trusted Access (STA) platform. STA provided a cloud-based architecture for access management and orchestration, adaptive multi-factor authentication (MFA) and single sign-on (SSO), without some of the other features common to identity-as-a-service (IDaaS) offerings such as identity governance and provisioning
