SAN FRANCISCO, CA - October 23, 2006 - Oracle OpenWorld -- Vormetric, a leading provider of security solutions that protect data from unauthorized access, and a member of the Oracle® PartnerNetwork, announced today that it will participate and exhibit at the Oracle OpenWorld Conference, Booth 3110 at the Moscone West Hall in San Francisco, CA. Vormetric will participate in Oracle's Secured Enterprise Pavilion during the conference.

The Secured Enterprise Pavilion at Oracle OpenWorld will showcase cutting-edge technologies around Identity Management, Database Security, Web Services Security, Compliance, and more from both Oracle and its partners. Attendees will witness first hand exciting new enterprise security solutions that span user provisioning, data encryption, enhanced database access controls, single sign on, secure audit and compliance, shared physical and network access control, and much more. A dedicated mini-theater will also demonstrate real world scenarios every day, with presentations from industry experts and leading security vendors.

Vormetric is one of eight companies announced in April 2006 as part of Oracle's Database Vault Initiative. Oracle Database Vault addresses what risk management consultants have long recognized as a serious compliance deficiency by enabling organizations to establish and enforce preventive controls for accessing sensitive data and applications. System integrators and service providers that incorporate Oracle Database Vault into their risk management practices will be well positioned for the growing market demand for solutions that help address new compliance requirements and minimize the security risks posed by users. Global ISVs using the Oracle Database as the data repository for their applications can further extend the security benefits of the Oracle Database with Oracle Database Vault. ISVs can easily leverage Oracle Database Vault with their existing applications to help save time and money, as well as increase the overall security of their existing applications by enforcing separation of duties for database administrators and IT staff; automating compliance reporting with embedded internal controls in the database-tier; and limiting access privileges to sensitive data based on when, where and how information is accessed.
