Vormetric Supports Homeland Security Measures Implemented by IndustrySuite’s Real-Time Personal Identity Verification System
FLEMINGTON, NJ. – July 30, 2008 – IndustrySuite LLC today announced that it is using Vormetric Data Security to meet worker surety requirements for security programs focused on protecting Critical Infrastructures and Key Resources (CI/KR). Vormetric’s encryption and access control and security measures were selected by IndustrySuite to safeguard sensitive information maintained by its Real-Time Verification™ (RTV) system and required by the Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) and the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS 201).
IndustrySuite’s patent-pending RTV system, a web-based personal identity-verification technology, is utilized to protect worksites at CI/KRs. RTV securely compiles and protects the sensitive security and critical Infrastructure Information of participating companies from unauthorized users. In the NY/NJ metro region, RTV empowers Secure Worker Access Consortium (S.W.A.C.), a large-scale collaborative effort among public and private authorities, facility owners, contractors, and labor organizations who are partnering to prevent terrorist activity by creating a trusted contractor community. RTV provides real-time, permission-based information sharing, including identity verification and credential validation among disconnected facilities, so security managers can ensure that workers who have unescorted access to CI/KR are known and threat-free.
