Aditya Agarwal is a seasoned IT and cybersecurity leader with over 20 years of expertise spearheading strategic growth, enterprise sales, and digital market expansion across India and the SAARC region. Currently serving as the Assistant Vice President of Sales for Thales, he orchestrates commercial operations and go-to-market strategies for cutting-edge data protection and cybersecurity product portfolios. His technical and domain depth spans cloud security architecture, advanced network security, IoT, regulatory compliance, Big Data solutions, and large-scale smart surveillance systems. Over the course of his career, Aditya has established an exceptional track record of bidding, negotiating, and closing some of the most critical and expansive turnkey IT governance initiatives, including major National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) contracts with the Government of India.
Before joining Thales, Aditya spent more than 15 years driving regional business transformation across RSA Security and NetWitness (having also navigated the EMC era). During his tenure, he played an instrumental role in repositioning RSA from an authentication-centric provider into an intelligence-driven cybersecurity powerhouse. He initially built RSA’s Public Sector enterprise from the ground up, establishing an extensive partner ecosystem, instilling regional thought leadership, and steering the division to consistently exceed ambitious annual targets.
Aditya’s earlier industry foundation includes key commercial and account leadership roles at Nokia, Trend Micro, Ramco Systems, Comsat Max, and CMC, where he consistently expanded enterprise market share and cultivated high-value client portfolios. Backing his executive leadership is a strong technical and management pedigree; he holds a Bachelor of Engineering from NIT Karnataka (Surathkal) and an MBA from MDI Gurgaon, seamlessly bridging complex engineering capabilities with top-tier strategic commercial acumen.
