Follow these simple steps to Add Your PIN, Enrol Your Fingerprint, Register and then Authenticate your SafeNet IDPrime FIDO Bio smart card.
Add your PIN
1) On your Windows computer, select Start > Settings > Accounts.
2) Select Sign-in options.
3) Select Security Key.
4) Select Manage.
5) Place your Bio Card on the reader or insert it into your computer.
6) Select Add, located under the Security Key PIN option.
7) Enter a security key PIN and then re-enter it in the fields provided. Then select OK. Congratulations, you have added your PIN .
Enrol Your Fingerprint
1) On your Windows computer, select Start > Settings > Accounts.
2) Select Sign-in options.
3) Select Security Key.
4) Select Manage.
5) Place your Bio Card on the reader or insert it into your computer.
6) Under the Security Key Fingerprint option, select Add another.
7) Enter your security key PIN in the field provided and then select OK.
8) Enrol your fingerprint by placing your finger on the sensor and removing it when the scheme on the screen changes.
9) Repeat touching the sensor with your finger as many times as required.
10) When enrolment is complete, select Done.
11) Select Close. Congratulations. Your fingerprint is now enrolled on your card.
Register Your Card
IMPORTANT NOTE: This site is used as an example, only. You must also register your card on protected websites that you want to access.
Follow these steps to register your FIDO card on the Thales demo site:
https://fido.demo.gemalto.com/
1. Enter your name in the field provided and then select Register.
2. Select External security key or built-in sensor.
NOTE: Using a phone with a QR code is not supported by this product.
3. Select OK.
4. Select OK.
5. With your finger on the sensor, place your security key on the reader or insert the card into the USB port.
6. After your fingerprint is verified, the LED will display an orange light.
7. The welcome screen will be displayed, and your card is now registered and accessible.
Authenticate Your Card
To authenticate with SafeNet ID Prime FIDO Bio smart card on the Thales demo site go to https://fido.demo.gemalto.com/.
1. Enter the name that you used during Registration and then select Login.
2. Tap your FIDO Biometry card on the reader or insert it into the USB port.
3. Congratulations. You now have access to the site.
