As if all our RSA Conference 2014 news wasn’t enough to keep you busy, we now have even more exciting news to share. Vormetric has been shortlisted for THREE awards at the SC Magazine Europe awards.
First up, Vormetric Encryption has been shortlisted in two product categories – Best Encryption Solution AND Best Cloud Computing Security Solution – in this year’s awards. We’re delighted that our solution is a contender in both these categories. With constant tales of cyber-attacks and espionage in the news, it is becoming abundantly clear that your data needs encryption no matter where it resides to keep it safe.
Not so long ago, perimeter defences were sufficient – data was protected by walling off the outsiders and trusting your insiders. But this is no longer the case, maintaining control of multiplying sets of data over a range of interconnected systems is becoming a big challenge for many enterprises. Equally, with emergence of cloud and big data environments, your data may not even be on the inside anymore – and you more than likely have no idea who is accessing it or for what purpose, and that’s not good (at all).
So on that note, Vormetric has also been shortlisted in the prestigious Best Enterprise Security Solution category with Vormetric Data Security. The category recognises solutions specifically designed to meet the requirements of large enterprises – and we’re very proud to have been shortlisted in this category for the second year running, as we were ‘Highly Commended’ for Best Enterprise Security Solution in the 2013 awards.

Note that winners are notified at an award ceremony in London held in conjunction with the Infosecurity Europe show (29 April – 1 May).
