The SafeNet IDCore Java Card OS was developed by an industry-leading security team that designed it to implement counter measures against various threats, including side channel, invasive, advanced fault and other types of attacks. The SafeNet IDCore Java Card OS meets the industry’s most stringent security certifications, such as FIPS 140-2 level 3, and CC EAL5+ / PP Javacard.

SafeNet IDCore solutions are easy and fast to update through an open OS architecture that separates the platform from the application. This partitioning also reduces migration constraints, even after initial card issuance. Compliant applications can be loaded and cards that are compatible with existing ones can be produced quickly. No long and expensive re-masking is necessary; new applets are simply loaded in the Java Card memory. SafeNet IDCore 140C/3140C are open smart cards, compliant with Java Card 3.1 and Global Platform 2.3.1 standards. These two smart cards are CC EAL6+/PP Javacard certified for the Java platform and CC EAL6+ certified for the chip. SafeNet IDCore 140C is a contact only card, and SafeNet IDCore 3140C is a dual interface smart card, also compatible with some NFC readers.
The SafeNet IDCore cards 230/3230 will benefit from the state-of -the-art FIPS 140-3-L3 security features, required by US federal departments and agencies.* These cards comply with the latest international standards of Java Card 3.1.0 and Global Platform 2.2.1.
SafeNet IDCore 230 is a contact interface smart card and SafeNet IDCore 3230 is a dual-interface smart card, also compatible with some NFC readers.

It is a dual interface Public Key Java Card (supporting both RSA and elliptic curves) that meets the most advanced security requirements of long-term, multiapplication programs, including those being deployed by large global organisations.
