September 18, 2012

Thales, leader in information systems and communications security, announces that its business is relocating its North American headquarters into a new office space in Plantation, Florida.

Thales is a global provider of data encryption and cyber security solutions. The increasing use of emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, introduces new security challenges and opportunities for organizations of all types across the globe. Thales has seen a significant growth in its customer base and is expanding its footprint in order to accommodate changing requirements.

The new facility, located at 900 South Pine Island Road, Plantation, Florida, will meet Thales’s continued growth in providing data protection solutions to enterprise and government organizations worldwide. With over 100 employees based in the United States, more than half are based at the Florida headquarters.

Cindy Provin, president, Thales Inc, says:

“A recent study from the Ponemon Institute found that eighty-two percent of organizations already transfer, or plan to transfer, sensitive or confidential data into the cloud. To address increasing needs for security to meet evolving challenges such as the transition to the cloud, Thales is building momentum with its expanding workforce in the Americas. We are excited to be moving into a larger facility to address this growth while contributing to the local economy in Plantation.”
