2021 Thales Access Management Index - European Edition - Report

The changes that the last year has wrought upon organisations’ technology teams have been most acutely felt in access management. Seemingly overnight, remote access went from being an exception to the default working model for a large swath of employees. The 2021 Thales Access Management Index, based on data from a survey of more than 2,600 respondents in more than 10 countries across the globe, looks to identify the depth of that change, as well as the current state of and plans for how organisations across a range of industries manage access to enterprise applications, cloud services and networks. This executive summary looks at the European segment of the results and explores the similarities and contrasts with the global perspectives. (The study includes the UK in European results for geographic continuity alongside France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden.) The insights in this report were gleaned from the survey data, and it explores the impacts on security strategy and planning.
