Manufacturers have become high-value targets for cyberattacks due to their high intrinsic value and risks of economic damage from supply chain disruptions, resulting in susceptibility to ransomware, malware, phishing/whaling and denial of service (DoS) attacks. In this report, we summarize some of the most important findings of the 2022 Thales custom survey, obtained by surveying 90 automotive and 157 non-automotive manufacturing security leaders and practitioners worldwide, and provide options for how to reduce the risk of cyberattacks.
