March 14, 2020

We are committed to providing the most secure platform for our customers. As a reflection of that, we’re happy to announce that Thales’ Sentinel services have now been SOC 2 Type II certified. (Note that our services are already ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type I certified and GDPR compliant.)

We continue to make substantial investments in our security and compliance programs so that our customers can have peace of mind, knowing that their data is safe and secure.

RMS 9.6 Adds Android Availability

We are excited to announce that Android is now available as part of the standard platforms portfolio with Sentinel RMS! All of the feature-rich licensing capabilities offered through Sentinel RMS platforms such as Windows and Linux are now available on Android.

Android application developers now have access to everything from advanced network licensing features to cloud connected licensing and usage tracking. This is especially valuable to vendors who sell software applications on multiple platforms and want to have a consistent licensing experience across the board.

Win-Win-Win! Terminate User Session Functionality Comes to RMS 9.6

As many IT administrators already know, managing large groups of users with floating licenses can be tough. If employees leave their computers on overnight, without logging off of certain applications, those licenses may not be available for others to use, unless IT physically unplugs a network cable or forcibly shuts down the machine in question.

This can force a large cost on the vendors themselves, the IT department’s time and resources, and also puts employees’ ongoing work at risk of being accidentally deleted. MS 9.6 has full terminate user session functionality, allowing IT to forcibly disconnect a locked user, from the comfort of their own seat. This allows for a true win-win-win situation.

Vendors don’t need to take the financial hit of wasted licenses, the overhead and burden on IT teams is virtually eliminated, and users won’t be at risk of losing work, simply because they forgot to log off an application.

Configure Email Templates in Real-time with EMS 5.1

Vendors often recognize revenue after an entitlement email is successfully sent through EMS. The process of setting up new email templates and supporting additional languages for email is now fully self-serviceable and can be done in real-time with just a few clicks. This leverages an easy-to-use “what you see is what you get” editor, with capability to add additional data elements to the email on the fly.

All these changes reflect our commitment to take user feedback seriously and improve our products to provide the best possible experience to our customers. Subscribe to our blog for future product updates.
