The summer is now over, and October is a month full of cybersecurity events for Thales around the world. Along with celebrating Cyber Security Awareness Month, several exciting events are taking place across the world, aiming to educate people on the latest trends in cybersecurity and privacy. Below are just some of the events Thales will be at over the next few weeks.
GITEX GLOBAL, 10-14 October, Dubai
GITEX GLOBAL is the biggest security and technology event and exhibition in the Middle East. GITEX GLOBAL features every major technology player, trend, and vertical, and it covers sectors including smart cities, cybersecurity, the data economy, mobility, healthcare, and telecoms.
Thales will be present at Stand H1-C65. We will have two meeting rooms, and focus will be on how to discover, protect and control access to your most sensitive data. We will also give visitors insights into what existing customers think about Thales solutions. This year we have a Thales Demo Station where our pre-sales team will showcase our Data Protection and Access Management solutions.
Les Assises, 12-15 October, Monaco
Les Assises turns 22 this year, and the event motto is "In 2022, We Speed Up!" This year’s event will host more than 160 partners and 170 workshops. The Thales and Cryptonext Security will conduct a seminar on “Cyber Agility: From access management to post-quantum challenges” which will take place on 13 October at 11:00 local time.
The workshop will focus on the challenges of the constantly evolving threat landscape and the risks that emerge for cryptography from the evolution of quantum technologies. The workshop hosts will be Eric Brier, Samia Hachir, and Nicolas Alamome, all from Thales, and Christian D’Orival from Cryptonext.
Google Cloud NEXT, 11-13 October, Hybrid
This year, Google Cloud Next is a global hybrid event that is free for everyone! Thales is participating in a security session titled “Solutions for Protecting Your Data and Meeting Compliance Using Encryption,” hosted by Il-Sung Lee, Cloud Security at Google, and Sol Cates, Principal Technologist at Thales.
By collaborating closely with Google Cloud, Thales has helped cloud customers take security and control of their data to new levels. This talk will cover how to effectively leverage Google Cloud’s key management offerings to solve common security and compliance objectives. This includes strategies for using different key manager, including Thales’s CipherTrust Cloud Key Manager for centrally managing keys across multiple clouds.
Cloud Expo Asia, 12-13 October, Singapore
Cloud Expo Asia returns with its 8th edition at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The event connects technologists and business leaders with experts, solutions, and services to help accelerate digital transformation plans.
Thales will be at this event at stand B10, with a focus on taking control of your data security in the cloud. Shaun Chen, Sales Engineering Director for APAC, will be the speaker at the security session “Discover, Protect, Control: Data Security for a Zero Trust World.” In this session, learn how you can discover and classify your data wherever it resides, secure sensitive data at rest, in motion and in use, and simplify the access to this sensitive data.
it-sa Expo&Congress, 25-27 October, Nuremberg, Germany
it-sa Expo&Congress in Nuremberg covers the entire range of products and services in the field of cybersecurity: hardware, software, training and consulting services, as well as Security as a Service. Essential topics at it-sa are cloud and mobile security, data and network security, the protection of critical infrastructures, and Industrial Security.
